The department of Civil engineering came into existence in 1985. It was started with an intake of 60 students which was subsequently raised to 180 over a period of time. It has a strong administration, infrastructure and dedicated team of Faculty. The department is keeping pace with the fast changing technology of Civil Engineering in terms of its teaching program and laboratory activities. Department was accredited Three times by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in the years 1998, 2002 and 2007, with good grades. The department is presently offering 4-year B.Tech degree programme in Civil Engineering and 2-year M.Tech degree programme in Structural Engineering.
